BABY BAG

The baby bag is a treasure trove, Father.

In addition to nappies, it holds

tissues,

wipes,

bottles,

formula,

clothes,

nappies,

rugs,

toys,

powder and creams …

Every conceivable item which might be needed

To cope with the anticipated

and the unexpected.

Sometimes, Father, I wish I had a ‘life’ bag—

A collection of items which equip me

To cope with the anticipated

and the unexpected.

But such a thing cannot be.

And yet …

Perhaps it can:

All I need in my bag is

Trust—

A willingness to allow you to take charge.

Then I will be equipped for anything.

All mankind scratches for its daily bread, but your heavenly Father knows your needs. He will always give you all you need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. (Luke 12: 30-31, TLB)
